Doctor Nikolaos Salapatas on bone grafts
Bone grafts are amazing. After an extraction, what we do is we’ll place a bone graft into the socket into the area that where the tooth was so that will preserve the bone and create a scaffolding for the bone healing so that once it will facilitate the healing of the extraction site and also prevent that bone from collapsing. And that’s all in the name of saving the ridge and preserving the ridge so that one day an incline can be placed, hopefully soon after, but even if it takes a little bit more time that bone is preserved and there’s less complications in the future.
